Wedgwood: The Home Based Services program serves boys and girls 7-15 years of age who have not yet been involved with the juvenile justice system; however they have come into contact with Network 180. Wedgwood seeks mentors who can be a positive role model and teach good behavior in order to prevent any possible future interaction with the juvenile justice system. Mentors must be at least 18 years of age and have own transportation. Mentors must undergo a DHS and criminal history background check and complete a certain amount of hours of training provided by Wedgwood. Mentors should also fill out an application and will then be hired by Wedgwood. Depending on the time length required and services being offered to each youth in the Home Based Services Program, a mentor should make a commitment to meet with the mentee for at least 1 hour a week for the duration of 6 months to 1 year.
