KIDS HOPE USA is the nation's leading provider of well-trained, faith-inspired mentors for at-risk children in public schools. KIDS HOPE USA helps churches establish programs for members to build caring one-on-one relationships with area elementary school-age children...one child, one hour, one church, one school. KIDS HOPE USA is a church-based mentoring model that equips a local church to build a caring relationship with its neighborhood public elementary school by providing faithful mentors and behind-the-scenes prayer partners. KIDS HOPE USA teaches affiliate churches how to recruit, screen, train, supervise, and evaluate their own members for ongoing one-on-one relationships with children the school identifies as at-risk. Mentors and students meet every week at the school for one hour. We focus on elementary school-age children because these are the critical, formative years for self-esteem, values, and academic skill development.
