If you have contacts with organizations or individuals that have some of these resources that benefit mentors and their mentees please donate them. A receipt will be sent with the dollar value for your tax deduction.

Vehicles

Thinking of donating your vehicle to charity? Please consider Mentor1. We have a relationship with an auction house that will sell the vehicle and deposit the check into the Mentor1 Account.

Additional Items

Do you have clothing, furniture, office supplies or exercise equipment you would like to donate to Mentor1?  Please contact “I Sold It” stores at 616.365.2000. “I Sold It” will auction these items off for us and will deposit the check into our account.

Your Time

Get Involved

Do you have a gift, talent or passion that you can share? Are you well versed in youth-related topics (conflict resolution, music education, bullying, etc.)? If you have skills you can lend to our program youth or mentors, please contact Roy Clark at 616.260.1533.

Political Action

If mentoring is a topic that you would like your legislators to support, let them know! Take time to let your representatives know that mentoring is of importance to you and the youth in your community. You can also visit the National Mentoring Partnership website and learn about other ways you can take action.

Increasing numbers of donors are making gifts to Mentor1 using appreciated securities including stock, bonds, and mutual funds. 

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers match their employees’ gifts to charitable institutions. Some companies will match the gifts of employee spouses and retired employees as well. Ask the human resources or benefits office at your workplace for more information. Find out if your company has a matching gifts program.
